Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus)
Long tradition used in pregnancy to strengthen and tone the tissue of the womb, assisting contractions and checking any haemorrhage during labour. Action will occur if drunken regularly throughout pregnancy and may also be taken during labour.
Actions
Astringent, tonic, febrifuge, parturient with a reputation for painless and easy delivery in straight forward births, anti-spasmodic.
Uses
Pain or profuse bleeding of menstruation, tones uterine muscles, promotes milk production, mouth ulcers and sore throat (gargle), vaginal discharge, sickness and nausea of pregnancy.
Chamomile (Matricaria recutita)
Actions
Excellent gentle sedative, anti-spasmodic, carminative, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiseptic, vulnerary, aromatic, bitter, diaphoretic, nervine, sedative, tonic, anti-microbial.
Uses
Peptic ulcers, Candida, anxiety, insomnia, indigestion, inflammations, PMS.
Contraindications: Rare skin contact allergy.
Oat Straw (Avena sativa)

Uses
Nutrient with selective action of the brain and nerve cells, source of minerals, improves performance and stamina, one of the best remedies for feeding and strengthening the nervous system, especially when under stress; nervous debility and exhaustion when associated with depression; general debility, high content of silica which is helpful for skin conditions especially in external applications.
